Click the Settings tab to change the update at the local workstation. Inventory usage is always updated when running the end of day, even when this setting is disabled. When real-time inventory is required, open back office at the workstation that stores the database and select Update inventory usage at this workstation. Do not enable this setting at a workstation that connects to the database on a different machine so that network traffic is not increased. The time interval can be adjusted to provide faster updates.
Inventory Settings
To view real time inventory usage, login and press the Manager button. Press the Reports button and select the Inventory Usage report to run report.
Inventory Usage Report (Manager Screen)
The mini report displays the current business day's inventory usage, including the quantity of each item used, the cost of each item used, and the total cost of all items used for the current business day. A current business day is defined as the period since the last End Of Day was run.
The item cost is calculating by multiplying the recipe quantity by the unit cost. The unit cost is found by one of the following methods:
1. | The least recent inventory received record with remaining quantity. |
2. | If quantity is zero, the unit cost from the last time inventory item was received is used. |
3. | If the inventory item was never received, the default cost is used. |
