Credit Card Processing Using Mercury Pay with Amigo Pos 7

 

Mercury Pay is developed and supported by Mercury Payment Systems and is included with Amigo Pos at no additional cost. A merchant account from Mercury Payment Systems is required to use Mercury Pay. Visit http://www.mercurypay.com for additional information.

*Note: Amigo Pos does not accept compensation of any sort to include Mercury Pay. It is included as a courtesy for Amigo Pos users that require a new merchant account and wish to avoid the expense and setup associated with PCCharge Payment Server or an external credit card terminal.

Introduction

Mercury Pay is the transaction engine that handle all payment processing requests submitted by Amigo Pos. Amigo Pos is capable of processing credit/debit card transaction using the Datacap DSIClientX component. This component is built in to Amigo Pos and no additional components are required for Mercury Pay integration.

Unlike PCCharge Payment Server, a direct interface for Mercury Pay is not included as a desktop application. Reports and other advanced functions are accessed through a secure web site using any internet browser.

Setting Up Mercury Pay

After obtaining a merchant account from Mercury Payment Systems, set up Mercury Pay as described in the next help topic.

Using Amigo Pos to process credit card transactions

After Mercury Pay and Amigo Pos Back Office are configured, you can begin using Amigo Pos to process credit card transactions as described at the Processing Transactions topic.
