Using MS Access

Previous pageReturn to chapter overview

Microsoft Access allows easy editing of the Amigo Pos database for advanced users. This information applies to MS Jet database only; SQL Server users may use the MS SQL Server Management Studio to edit the database.

Great care should be taken when editing the database so that required records are not deleted and necessary relationships or indices are not broken. Backup the database and contact support with any questions first.

Many tables in Amigo Pos are "hidden" to prevent users from inadvertently modifying or deleting required data. To view these tables, enable Hidden Objects in MS Access. The procedure enabling hidden objects for MS Access 2010 is shown below; others versions require a slightly different procedure.
